A very nice ladder back chair made of solid maple with a rush seat. We treat all rush seats with 2 coats of shellac, prolonging the life of this material substantially. |

When this hope chest came to us it had four coats of paint on it and the owner was considering throwing it away, but instead decided to hand it down to her daughter. Removal of the paint was a very tedious process. Getting the paint out of all the detail was difficult, but well worth the effort. The wood is walnut burl and mahogany. Five different stains were used to highlight the contrasting woods. This is an example of why we do what we do. |
